How we will keep you all safe here at Penllwyn Lodges
As a family-run business, we want to reassure our guests, staff and community that everyone’s safety is paramount. We are pleased to announce we have been given a “safer stays” badge which will reassure you that new safety measures have been employed. We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to review our operations and have adapted our procedures and processes to ensure you will enjoy a memorable holiday without compromising your safety. We have always employed a high standard of cleanliness throughout. Due to the recent events we have now invested in specialist equipment to sanitise and kill bacteria and viruses.
Our housekeeping team have been given new cleaning protocols to follow in accordance to the welsh tourism guidelines. As well as a more detailed clean, we will be using a new disinfecting/ sanitizing method using a misting/fogging technique developed for hospital operating theatres and deep cleaning. The atomized sanitation product kills 99.9% of all bacteria and viruses.
How does it work?
This process atomises a super strength disinfectant solution called Seligiene Ultrainto which turns into a fine mist and creates a complete cloud of disinfecting microscopic droplets. The droplets enter the atmosphere of the whole room being cleansed and help sanitise every aspect of the area, walls, ceilings, floors and surfaces. The disinfecting mist gets into every area, and parts that normal cleaning could never reach.
Sanitisation will be completed between every guest departing and prior to new arrivals. All pillows, quilts, matresses and cushions are also sanitized using the same technique. All linen, bedding and towels are washed to Government advised standards.
All drawers, cupboard interiors, curtains, blinds, wardrobes, soft furnishings, light switches, sockets, door handles, remote controls, furniture, appliances and all kitchen items will be sanitized.
All outside areas including decking, railings and outside furniture will be sanitized before guest arrival using the same method.
Please be aware that some items have been removed such as blankets, radios, books, games, dvd’s and hairdryers following Government advice.
Please be aware that due to the extra cleaning measures this may create a delay in cleaning lodges ready for the check in time. Please be patient and remember that your safety is our first concern and any delay or reduced availability in facilities is only as a result of us taking your well being seriously and following Government guidelines.
Hot tubs are emptied, cleaned and filled with fresh water between each guest stay and sanitised filters fitted.
The hot tubs are also manually checked daily for further protection, all surfaces around the hot tub and its cover are also sanitised between guest stays.
Occasionally lodges with hot tubs may not be ready at normal check in times due to the additional time taken to reach the new standards, so we ask please be patient as your safety is our first concern.
New on site safety procedures and measures
On your arrival to the park, you will see that restrictions have been put in place. We ask all guests to keep to the social distancing measures throughout the park and no visitors will be able to access the park.
